I've been using this elite recently and I've been much surprised at how effective it is. Using Necrosis + "Finish him" + "You move like a dwarf", you can deal massive single target damage and repeat it all again after your target dies.

I also have 2 paragon heroes + an MM to trigger Mark of Pain. After messing with builds, I found that Malign Intervention helps tons for anyone using Assassin's Promise - you create a random minion to easily trigger it's effect. Even better, it gives you something to slap MoP on for easy aoe damage. Lastly, because it's a minion, you can put Holy Spear on one of the paragons for even more aoe damage. With good timing and micro'ing, you can x2 Holy spear a MoP'd minion for about 220 aoe dmg

It's been my fav setup recently - you get defense through the minions and paragons, while mainting strong single-target and aoe damage

So...

1. Kill foe with Malign Intervention + Assassin's Promise.
2. Kill easy-made minion with Assassin's Promise.
3. Rinse and repeat.

Right? Sounds fun.

I'm using assassin's promise with vampiric and shambling horrors, assassin support, and other long recharging skills, makes a fun minion master.

N/A with assassin's promise, eh? For that sort of thing I had been using [Reaper's Mark] but I'll take a look at it.

Four optional skills. The key is calling targets for focused fire. The Assassin elite will recharge the long-recharge hexes. Almost any Curses skill is a good match for this bar - especially those who aren't commonly used in PvE due to their hefty recharge. Commonly used options are Meekness, Shadow Of Fear, Ebon Vanguard Assassin Support, "Finish Him!", Enfeebling Blood, Technobabble (this one is especially great versus healers), Well of Darkness... you name it.
